"Rose, Dragon"

I read another chapter of Watchman last night before falling asleep. It was Dr Manhattan's backstory, an in-between-the-plot chapter. I still haven't figured out what the weird house thing he builds on Mars is. Oh well...

This morning was The New York Dentist, episode two. He started the root canal process, which means tying Tedwrd to a too small and uncomfortable molded chair, and using multiple horse needles full of a liquid which deadens the nerves, but not me. He used various drill bits to completely drill out the nerves in the tooth, which I didn't feel, and finished todays episode quickly.

I did realize what is causing the major pain in my neck, I've had the past couple of days. It's the position I'm sitting in the dentist's Frankensteinian Chair of Mechanical Uncomfort. When a dentist says, "Relax" I don't know about you, dear reader, but I tend to do the exact opposite to the eleventh degree. Combine that with twisting my head around so the dentist can use the afore mentioned tool, makes for a sore neck. Fortunately the dentist prescribed mass quantities of med.

Afterwards, I shared a taxi from the hotel to the studio with a guy from story. He'd been around the block as well, and we had a pleasant conversation about the industry in general. I'm at an in-between stage at work. I'm finished one section, and the next is not quite ready. Things aren't hectic this second, but the perfect storm wave is beginning to rise ahead. There be monsters here.

A large group of those the studio has put up in the hotel, are leaving this weekend. The talk on the shuttle sounds a lot like the end of a school year, "What's your next gig?" "Going anywhere during summer vacation?"

Monsters vs Aliens opens tomorrow. I hope it does well.
